Myriad Things

Everything arrives alone.

A photograph keeps company with another photograph it will never meet. A song moves the way another song moves, years apart, strangers to each other, and somehow not. These kinships don't announce themselves. They sit under the surface of things, waiting to be noticed by whoever happens to be looking closely enough.

This is a place for looking closely.

Bring a print — a fragment of something made — and it's read the way a hand might read a coastline: not judged, just traced. What comes back is a small constellation. A few kindred things, near and far, each one worth finding on its own.

What you bring isn't kept. The image or the track is read and then deleted; what stays is the writing it produced, and you can take that down whenever you like. We do count visits — which pages, roughly where from — the ordinary sort of tally, so we know whether any of this is landing. Whatever you find belongs to you the moment you find it, and the door out is always the nearest one.

If something here moves, or misses, or simply confuses you, write. Someone reads it.
