Myriad reads things people bring in and writes about what it finds. A read holds our own words, the title of the work, and a link out to where the work lives. We don't host copies of the works themselves, and we don't keep their images.
If something here still shouldn't be, tell us and it comes down. You don't need a lawyer to write to us, and we'd rather hear from you early than formally.
To make a notice effective under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)), include all six of these:
We act on valid notices promptly. When a read is removed, its text is deleted, it leaves Recent and every tag page, and its address returns a plain notice that it's gone. The address itself is kept so that anyone following an old link sees a removal rather than a dead end, and so that we have a record of what was taken down and when.
If your read was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, the address of the removed read, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you're outside the United States, any district in which we may be found). We may restore the read after ten business days unless the original complainant files suit. Text deleted in a removal cannot be restored.
Anyone who repeatedly brings in work they have no right to share will be blocked from submitting.
